The Creative Guts Podcast is pleased to announce the upcoming release of two compilation zines this year, a spring and fall edition, featuring visual artists and writers who have been selected by jury. The Creative Guts team aims to stimulate and inspire creativity, by telling the stories of those who are brave enough to put themselves out there. This zine is another format where creatives can share with the world what they make, while motivating others to do the same. Physical editions of the zine will be available for purchase, while digital editions of the zine will be available for free on our website, CreativeGutsPodcast.com, in May 2020.

The Creative Guts team will be joined to review submissions for the spring edition by guest juror Matt Wyatt, the extraordinary co-founder and co-chair of the Rochester Museum of Fine Arts and an artist himself. Learn more at CreativeGutsPodcast.com.
THEME: Gutsy: marked by courage, pluck, or determination

ELIGIBILITY: Artists 18 and older, from any country, are welcome to apply with visual and written works in any medium: painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, poetry, short story (500 words maximum), etc.

FEE: $15 for one to three images of individual artworks, though only one image will be printed per selected artist. This fee is non-refundable and can be paid through our website. Any artist who is select for the zine will receive one free printed edition of the zine. Fees go towards printing costs of the zine, as well as supporting the ongoing mission of Creative Guts.

SUBMISSION: Email one (1) to three (3) images of individual artworks in .JPEG format, with at least 300dpi, or a text document of poetry/prose to CreativeGutsPodcast@gmail.com. Please include the following information in your email: Full Name, Website, Location, social media accounts you wish to be included with your art, a short artist statement (100 - 150 words). Include title of each piece (if any) and medium.

SPRING DEADLINE: Friday, April 10, 2020, (Midnight - Eastern Standard Time)
