CEPA Gallery is excited to announce the 2025 Members’ Show. This year, we wanted to introduce a new format for our annual Members’ Show – a mail art exhibition.
One winner will be selected from the participants to receive a free solo exhibition to be held at CEPA Gallery.
We invite all current, new, and returning CEPA members to submit their original mail art for this open call.
How to Participate:
Step 1: Renew or sign up for a CEPA membership
Step 2: Select or create an artwork that fits the theme
Step 3: Fill out the form below with label information
Step 4: Mail submission to CEPA’s mailing address
Please fill out this submission form by October 24, 2025: Submission Form
Mail art submissions must:
-be able to fit in an envelope/package no larger than 9 x 12 x 2 inches (framing optional)
-use a photo-based/related medium and fit the theme of Sweet Treats & Other Delights.
Artists must use a photo-based or photo-related medium. The theme, Sweet Threats & Other Delights, is up for interpretation. Whether it’s an afternoon sweet treat or an artistic process you find satisfying, we want work centered around what YOU find delightful.
For the safety of our postal carriers, we ask that you refrain from including any hazardous or perishable materials.
All submissions must be sent clearly marked with the artist name and must arrive by October 24, 2025. Any submission received after that date is not guaranteed to be a part of the exhibition.

What happens to your artwork?
As mail art arrives, each piece will be cataloged. All pieces will be displayed in a physical exhibition at CEPA Gallery which runs from November 7, 2025 – December 20, 2025. An opening reception will take place on November 7, 2025 from 5-8 PM. After the close of the exhibition, all works will be preserved in CEPA’s archives.
What is Mail Art?
According to the Tate Gallery’s Art Terminology Glossary, mail art is defined as “a movement based on the principle of sending small scale works through the postal service.” Mail art originated in the 1960s as a democratic and non-commercial exchange between artists and has expanded to many different forms, including postcards, packages, faxes, and even emails.
