This Call for Artists seeks those working in oil paints to share their best works, whether rooted in tradition or founded in unique contemporary approaches.

This Call for Artists welcomes all styles, themes and subjects for this group showing: from realism to abstraction, portraiture to landscape, expressionism to minimalism, and far more, for the purpose of demonstrating the timeless quality of oil paintings. By focusing solely on this traditional medium, we aim to highlight the skill, creativity, and expressive potential that still holds strong today, connecting artists over the span of hundreds of years.

Only Oils provides a physical exhibition at our art gallery in San Diego and a digital exhibition on our website and social media platforms. Participating artists will be part of a showcase of artists who continue to choose the enduring power of this timeless medium to engage audiences with their creative visions.
