Founded in 1980, the Lih Pao Group has centered its business on the construction and real estate industry. While developing its core operations, the group recognized the profound and inseparable relationship among architecture, sculpture, and the surrounding environment. In response, it established the Lih Pao Cultural Arts Foundation. Since 2011, the foundation has organized the Lih Pao Sculpture Biennial Awards, with the aim of fostering international cultural exchange and integration while inspiring artistic creativity. Through this initiative, sculpture is envisioned as an integral component of architecture. The program seeks not only to deepen public awareness and appreciation of environmental and spatial design, but also to highlight the multiple roles sculpture can play in the process of urban development. Ultimately, it aspires to create living spaces that embody modern cultural values and are enriched with artistic vitality and atmosphere.
