Description

SOUTHWORKS is an annual event which highlights two exhibitions organized by at the Oconee Cultural Arts
Foundation (OCAF) and presented in their galleries located in Watkinsville, GA.

One facet of SOUTHWORKS is the Director’s Choice Exhibition. A single artist of my choosing is invited, and past
Director’s Choice artists include Margaret Morrison, Dale Chihuly and Philip Moulthrop to name a few.

Secondly SOUTHWORKS features the National Juried Art Exhibition. The juried exhibit draws entries from artists
living all across the United States, and the result is an exhibition which provides a snap-shot of what other parts of
the country are doing in the art world. All forms of media are accepted, so the juror selects from paintings,
drawings, pottery, jewelry, etc. We see this show as a unique opportunity to not only enrich our community with a
quality event but to educate as well, and for that reason we invite professionals from established museums and art
centers to juror.
