Food fills our stomachs and our emotions. Satisfying our cravings, warming our souls, and making us feel safe. The City of Santa Clarita Arts and Events Division (City) is seeking artists to exhibit at the First Floor Gallery located in City Hall. Artists will submit or create artwork showcasing the artist’s favorite comfort food; hamburgers, Mac & Cheese, cornbread, grandma’s peanut butter cookies, and more. The use of real food is encouraged, but not required. This exhibit will take your taste buds for a ride! Artists are welcome to include the recipe of their comfort food to be shown with their work. Applicants may submit artwork in the medium of their choosing as long as it can be mounted to a wall. This includes but is not limited to paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, and textiles. The show will be up from March 12 to May 14, 2021. There will also be a virtual gallery created along side the physical show.
Due to a special hanging system located in the space, all artworks MUST be wired. Or they will not be shown under any circumstances.

Open to those willing to drop off at location.
