RFP Announcement: Lost Souls Public Memorial Project, Inc.
Lost Souls Public Memorial Project, Inc.
RELEASE DATE: March 17, 2021
The Lost Souls Memorial Project is honored to announce the February 26, 2021 release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) to launch the design phase of its history-restoring monument. The juried design chosen will record and welcome back in perpetuity the Lost Souls stolen from the East Brunswick, New Jersey community 203 years ago.
The Lost Souls memorial will be located at the Community Cultural Arts Center in the township from which infants, youth, women and men were forcibly removed by a sitting judge and consigned to permanent enslavement in the Deep South. The Lost Souls RFP was promulgated as Black History Month concluded two centuries after their loss from inclusive history, but not moral memory. Join in heralding the beginning of their return.
We are looking for skilled teams of sculptors, landscape artists and designers to submit design proposals as part of this effort led by the grassroots, multi-racial Lost Souls Public Memorial Project, Inc., a New Jersey nonprofit organization in the process of applying for 501(c)(3) status.
Important Dates for the RFP:
April 15, 2021: Submission of Letter of Intent
April 24, 2021: Zoom Q & A
June 1, 2021: Deadline for all submissions

The Lost Souls Memorial Project invites all to join in the process of racial reckoning by contributing your time, talent and treasure to our diverse organization. Help us bend the ‘moral arc.’
