Calling all Elementary, Middle School, and High School level artists!

Maryland Art Place (MAP) is pleased to announce its 2nd Virtual Out of Order exhibition event and 1st Virtual KIDOOO. MAP is happy to continue KIDOOO, a youth version of Out of Order, MAP annual art auction! KIDOOO was created as an opportunity for young artists to exhibit their work with a major arts venue, expanding MAP’s services to students in elementary, middle, and high school level arts classes. To participate in the exhibition, artists must be ages six-sixteen.

Calling all Elementary, Middle School, and High School level artists!

Maryland Art Place (MAP) is pleased to announce its 2nd Virtual Out of Order exhibition event and 1st Virtual KIDOOO. MAP is happy to continue KIDOOO, a youth version of Out of Order, MAP annual art auction! KIDOOO was created as an opportunity for young artists to exhibit their work with a major arts venue, expanding MAP’s services to students in elementary, middle, and high school level arts classes. To participate in the exhibition, artists must be ages six-sixteen.

The opening of KIDOOO will take place in tandem with MAP's annual Out of Order. This year OOO and KIDOOO are open for bidding for an entire week as opposed to one evening. Bidders can expect text messages when they have been outbid and may bid from their homes, offices, or vacations while perusing hundreds of works of art from the many talented artists throughout the state and region.

In addition to the week-long online exhibition and auction, there will also be a ticketed sneak preview event on Friday, May 7 at 5 pm - 10 pm! This ticketed preview event will be held in conjunction with MAP’s 40th Anniversary campaign. Purchase a $30 ticket to Out Of Order and receive a complimentary MAP membership + a MAP 40th limited edition risograph print. Purchase tickets HERE. Virtual programming to be announced!

The OOO & KIDOOO Online auction opens to the public, Saturday, May 8, running one full week through Saturday, May 15, 2021 and is FREE. The event link will be announced as “Live” on Saturday, May 8 via MAP’s website and various social media outlets and newsletters. All bids must be submitted no later than 10 pm on Saturday, May 15. The virtual exhibition can be viewed on May, 8.

To submit an application for KIDOOO simply click HERE fill out the application and upload ONE image.

All work must come framed and/or ready to hang.
All works must be priced to sell and will be silently auctioned Saturday, May 8 at 10 am - Saturday, May 15 till 10 pm

Please Note: All sold artwork must be delivered to MAP. MAP is located at 218 West. Saratoga St. Baltimore, MD 21210.
All sold work must be delivered to MAP Friday, May 21 - Sunday, May, 23 between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm.
You may ship your work if/when it sells but you will be responsible for shipping costs.
All artwork must be finished and able to hang if/when purchased (this means framed in some cases).
Artists may submit artworks beginning Monday, March 23 - Tuesday, May 4, 2021
There is a limit to one submission per artist
There is no submission fee for artists this year
You may only upload ONE image of the artwork submitted. The artwork image may be no larger than the Longest side 1500 pixels, 72dpi. Please save your file as follows: artist last name_first name_kidOOO2021 EXAMPLE: Gill_Caitlin_kidOOO2021
