The Hartnett Gallery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY, is now accepting proposals from individual artists and groups (in the US) interested in exhibiting their work during the 2021-2022 academic year. Submissions from University of Rochester alumnae artists and artists based in the Rochester area are also welcomed. Each year, a panel of undergraduate students and graduate students, assisted by the Hartnett Gallery Advisory Board select three solo exhibitions (one by alumni and two by US based artists) to be held during the academic year.

During the academic year 2020/21 Hartnett Gallery was closed to the public due to the COVID-19 restrictions on campus. We moved our entire exhibition program online. If this is still not possible, we will work with the selected projects to adapt them for an online environment. These will be the parameters for online exhibitions:

$1,300 honorarium
assistance during the online installation
assistance to organize an online artist event during the duration of the exhibition
