Description

The City of Santa Clarita is seeking artwork for consideration for an upcoming exhibit at First Floor Gallery. The theme for this exhibit is inspired by the 2020 social media movement #MuseumMomentsofZen. Please submit your original artwork(s) that brings you moments of peace, clarity, and Zen. This could be a sunset at the beach, birds flying high in the sky, flowers in the garden, a still moment, or more. These works should provide viewers with a moment of relaxation, serenity, or quiet. Applicants may submit artworks in the medium of their choosing as long as it can be WIRED and mounted to a wall. The City of Santa Clarita utilizes a special wiring system that requires all works to be WIRED in order to safely hang. This includes but is not limited to paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, and textiles. The show will be up from August 2 to September 17, 2021.

Mailing artwork will NOT be accepted. Please understand that artwork must be physically dropped off on the agreed upon date. This call is open to LA County, surrounding areas, and those willing to drop off.
