Description

Broadway Public Safety Station Public Art Project. The City of Asheville is building a new, environmentally conscious (LEED certified) Public Safety Station. The City is issuing a Call for Artists to create one or several public art pieces at the site of the new building. Opportunities for art at this site include, but are not limited to, sculpture, mosaic, dimensional brick work, artistic stonework, environmental art, up-cycled art, painting, and whatever else you can think of that: is appropriate for exterior installation and four season weather conditions, and explores the essence of the City’s Public Safety ethos: community first, service, and support. The selected artist or artist team will receive a fee of up to $84,000.
