Open Call for Student Artwork
Abigail Ogilvy Gallery is currently accepting entries for our 5th annual student artwork exhibition, Fresh Faces. In this exhibition, we are excited to show an array of new artwork by the Northeast’s most talented students artists in an exhibition at the Abigail Ogilvy Gallery. The gallery is seeking innovative artwork from undergraduate, graduate and recent graduate (within the past year) artists based in MA, RI, CT, ME, NH, VT & NY.
Submission Fee: $10
Must currently be enrolled in an Undergraduate, MFA, or Post-Baccalaureate program in MA, RI, CT, ME, NH, VT, or NY. Students who graduated within the past year are welcome to apply as well. If you have previously exhibited in Fresh Faces, you are not eligible to apply.
All works must be under 40 in. height x 40 in. width including the frame and ready to hang. Works on paper must be framed and ready to hang. Sculpture must not exceed 50 lbs. and must be under 40 in. height x 40 in. width. Video work submission must include installation equipment. All media must be exhibited at the Boston gallery for the exhibition length. Submissions must include a high-resolution image of the work, and the work must be well documented. Proposals must be conceptually rigorous and focus on projects and themes that are innovative and engaging.
Extra consideration will be given to artwork that clearly demonstrates a unique and creative approach, as well as those that present ideas or topics that are not well-represented.

Exhibition Dates: February 22 - March 12, 2023
All submissions are considered final. Abigail Ogilvy Gallery takes a 40% commission on works sold in this exhibition. The accepted artwork must currently be in the continental US. The gallery will post the exhibition on our website as well as on Artsy.net. We will host mentoring sessions for the accepted artists, as well as a public exhibition at Abigail Ogilvy Gallery.
