Description

Art In the Orchard 2023 is seeking sculptures and installations for its Seventh Biennial outdoor exhibit in Easthampton, Massachusetts. This biennial is expected to draw ~30,000 visitors from August 19th to November 25th and will feature 30 works. Selected artists will receive a $500 honorarium (totaling $15,000). The sculptures will be installed on the grounds of a thriving New England orchard with spectacular vistas. The site offers exhibitors wide open spaces as well as more intimate settings. Work that resonates with our public, such as those containing elements of whimsical, absurd, surreal and those that elicit emotional responses are encouraged as well as kinetic and site-specific work. Trees can be used to hang mobiles.

* Each of the thirty selected artists will receive a $500.00 Honorarium.
* For 2023 we are expecting 30,000 or more visitors
* We will try to sell your sculpture, taking a 20% commission.
* Press coverage should be strong
* The new wheelchair golf cart for folks that have trouble walking will be touring constantly
* Artists are invited to all events and parties.

Easthampton is located in the 5-College area of the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts; close to the intersection of Interstate I-91 and the Mass Pike I-90, attracting visitors from Boston, New York, the Berkshires, Vermont, New England, and Canada.
