Description

Art & Education at the Hoyt is inviting both emerging and established artists to apply for its 51st Annual Hoyt Regional Juried Art Competition this winter. The competition is open to adult artists residing within a 250 mile radius of the museum, encompassing much of PA, OH and areas of MI, NY, VA, WVA, and MD.
All media, with the exception of video and installation will be considered. Participants must be 18+ to enter and work must have been completed within the last three years. The deadline is March 1, 2024.. At least $1200 in cash prizes will be awarded. Application access is online through the Hoyt’s website.

ELIGIBILITY
Artists living within a 250-mile radius of New Castle, PA
Age 18+
Original work completed within the last three years and not previously exhibited at the Hoyt
Most media considered. No video or installation.
Work cannot exceed 150 lbs or 48” in any direction
Work must be professionally prepared for display. 2D pieces must be wired and framed. Works on paper must be protected by glass. Special display instructions should be clearly noted.

FEES
$35.00 for one entry ($25.00 for Hoyt Members) and $10.00 for each additional entry. Entry fees are collected with submissions through our online portal. (entry fee is non-refundable)
