Artist Prospectus: Celebration of African American Joy and Commemorating Juneteenth through the Power of Art

Introduction:
We invite talented artists to participate in an exhibition celebrating African American joy and commemorating Juneteenth. This vibrant showcase aims to highlight the rich tapestry, landscapes, and overall vibrancy within the African-American community through various artistic mediums.

Theme:
The exhibition focuses on celebrating African American joy while recognizing the historical significance of Juneteenth. Artists should explore joy within this community and reflect on themes of freedom and emancipation from slavery.

Artistic Mediums:
Artists working in diverse mediums such as painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media, or digital art are welcome. Vibrant colors and dynamic compositions are encouraged to capture the exuberance found within African American culture.

Submission Process:
Submit an artist statement (200-300 words) explaining how your artwork aligns with the theme. Include 3-5 high-resolution images of your work with titles, mediums, dimensions, and years. Also provide an updated CV/resume highlighting relevant experience.

Deadline for Submission: March 1, 2024 by midnight.

Selected artists will be notified via email about acceptance into the exhibition. Further instructions regarding artwork delivery will be provided if selected.
