Description

The St. Johns Cultural Council is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the design and creation of a painted mural for the building at 368 A1A Beach Boulevard, St. Augustine Beach, Florida. This building is part of the St. Johns County Pier Park and is viewed by hundreds of thousands of visitors to St. Augustine Beach every year.

The selected artist will create a design based on public input that will be reviewed by a public art panel and approved by the City of St. Augustine Beach.

The budget for this project is $10,000, with a target deadline for completion of September 30, 2024.

MURAL SPECIFICS
The mural will be located in St. Augustine Beach between the Cultural Arts Center at the St. Augustine Beach Hotel and the St. Johns County Fire Rescue Station #7. This location is within walking distance of the St. Johns County Ocean Pier, which sees significant foot traffic daily from residents and visitors, especially during the summer months. The mural will be on the north-facing wall of the building, which measures 41’ 4” x 10’ 6” (348 sqft).

PROPOSAL SUBMISSION
