NUDO, festival de poesía desatada -organized by RAYOS Y CENTELLAS, cultural management- opens call for V2 versos&visuals 2025, the videopoetry exhibition that is held in Barcelona as part of the festival's programme.
Since the birth of the festival, we have always been interested in how image and word marry, a union that has materialized in multiple ways for centuries. The great power of the word with the evocative force of the moving image create true works of art. We could say that video poetry is a genre, within video art, that has convulsed the poetic scene and enriched the meanings of poetry itself.

1. Open participation, without any restrictions.

2. Only video poems are accepted. By this we understand an audiovisual work in which there is a poem (recited/written/suggested) and moving images. The use of music or other sound elements is optional. In conclusion, we are looking for an artistic work based on the integrated creation of moving image, sound and verbal language.
Important: moving image is not pictures one after another. Examples: video-poetic installation, poetic VJ, poetic net art, video clip, film poetry or video-poetic documentary.

The management of the copyright of these elements is the responsibility of their creator.

3. The videopoems to be presented must meet the following characteristics:

-Duration: 5 minutes maximum.
-Language or subtitles: Spanish or Catalan.
-Free theme and can have been showed before.
-Respect copyright
-Format: compatible with the screening (MPG, MPEG, MP4, MOV)
-Name of the author at the end or beginning of the artwork

4. Participants may submit as many proposals as they wish, always accompanied by the following information:
-Name and surname, address, brief bio, contact telephone number and email.
-Technical file of the video creation (title, year, author of the poem/images/music, voice, etc).
-Text:

I authorize the NUDO Festival to broadcast this video for free, as I own the rights to it.

5. The deadline for receiving proposals is December 22nd at 11:59 p.m. Any proposal received after the deadline will unfortunately not be evaluated.

6. The videopoems will be sent in digital format, through Drive or Dropbox (giving permission for viewing) or the WeTransfer platform (without expiration date), to the following email: videopoesia.nudo@gmail.com with the subject " Call video poetry Nudo”.

7. Among the videopoems received, a selection will be made by a jury made up of members or collaborators of RAYOS Y CENTELLAS, including artists, managers and curators. The final selection will be communicated on January 5th through the festival's website and social networks.

8. The selected works will be part of the official programming of NUDO, a festival of unleashed poetry and will be screened in a special session at one of NUDO venues during the main day of the festival: at Pati LLimona cultural centre (Gothic Area, Barcelona) on Saturday April 5th, 2025.

We are preparing NUDO festival to be held in other places, so such selection of works may be projected as part of their corresponding programming.

9. The intellectual property of the works always remains in the hands of their authors, granting to NUDO Festival the authorization to show their works.

10. Participation in this call implies full acceptance of these rules.
