Description

The City is seeking qualifications from professional artists, or artist teams, to design and install a mural on a wall next to Ida Rankin Elementary School. The wall has two segments, the first which is approximately thirteen feet by sixteen feet, and the second wall varies in height from approximately nine feet to approximately thirteen feet tall and about thirty feet wide. The total of both sections is approximately 516 sq. ft. The City will have the wall prepped prior to getting started. The selected artist(s) will work in elements into the final design that will be generated by art contest at the School. The wall is located at 301 W Central Avenue Mount Holly. Responses to the RFQ are due Monday, December 16th by 1:00 PM. More information on the opportunity can be found by visiting the City’s website. An artist would be selected at the City’s art board’s meeting on December 18th, and have the project completed by the end of April 2025. The City will pay $12,900 to the artist(s) to complete this work.
