Overview
In celebration of both Juneteenth and Pride Month, Jubilee Artisans will host a two-week long exhibition celebrating the intersectionality of both
Black and Queer identities. The goal of this art showcase is to celebrate the rich culture behind the Queer and Black community, by inviting artists
the opportunity to illustrate their role as a member of one or both groups. We hope to bring meaningful conversations celebrating the two holidays, raise awareness of the rich culture, and explore the beauty of the overlap. ALL are welcome to enter!

Timeline
1. Launching Call for Entry: December 30, 2024 (25 weeks until opening reception)

2. Email Images of Artwork: December 27, 2024 - April 19, 2025 (9 weeks until opening reception)

3. Save-the-Date Postcard promotion:
a. April 26, 2025 (8 weeks until opening reception)
b. May 10, 2025 (6 weeks until opening reception)
c. May 24, 2025 (4 weeks until opening reception)
d. June 7, 2025 (2 weeks until opening reception)

4. Final Deadline for artwork with labels: June 7, 2025

5. Selection Process: June 7, 2025-June 14, 2025 (1 week before opening reception)

6. Confirmation of selected artwork: June 14, 2025 (1 week before opening reception)

7. Artwork drop-off: June 18, 2025 between 12:30-6:30pm (3 days before opening reception)

8. Artwork install: June 19, 2025-June 21, 2025

9. Opening reception: June 21, 2025 from 5-8pm

10. Artwork pickup: July 11, 2025 between 12:30-6:30pm

Statement of Interest
Artwork entered in this show will be subject to 50% of sales dedicated towards Jubilee Artisans with the remaining 50% made directly to the artist. Total sales made will be administered to artists on the 15th of the following month electronically through Square. Submitting an entry into this exhibition implies an agreement with all conditions set forth including: efficiently packaging artwork to prevent damages, promptly completing
Google Forms, promptly retrieving artwork not sold, and maintaining adequate communication with the Curator.

FAQ’s
Number of Pieces
Artists are welcome to submit up to 10 pieces for this show that will undergo review
between myself and Christy Andrews. Upon selection, all pieces must arrive at Jubilee
Artisans ready to hang and packaged accordingly by the drop off date on June 18, 2025
between 12:30-6:30pm.

Deinstall
Artwork not sold will need to be recovered no later than July 11, 2025 between 12:30-
6:30pm. Until artists have recovered artwork, all pieces will be carefully stored in
Christy Andrews’ office.

Artwork Sales
All artists will recover 50% of sales for their artwork with the remaining 50% dedicated
towards Jubilee Artisans. Total sales of artwork will be administered on the 15th of the
following month of exhibition electronically through Square.

Notes
- Upon launch of Call-for-entry, artists interested will be required to submit registration via a Google Form inquiring contact information, expected number of artwork to submit and expected sizes.
- Artists will receive an email link with a Google Form requesting final artwork labels including artist statements, hanging instructions and sizes of artwork that must be completed by June 7, 2025.
- Save-the-Date postcards will feature artwork completed by dates listed above and will be mailed out 8 weeks prior to opening reception beginning on April 26, 2025 and shared bi-weekly among members of the community.
- Once artists drop off artwork, they must fill out the Artwork Drop Off Agreement form upon arrival to Jubilee Artisans.
- When installing artwork, volunteers are always welcome!
