Asteria Space, a start-up born in 2019 following the win of the “PIN” call for proposals of
the Puglia Region, has been committed for years to promoting artists and cultural
projects. In 2024 was the winner of the call for proposals “Luoghi Comuni” of the Region
of Apulia, thanks to which was founded Asteria Guest&Artist House, a structure designed
to accommodate tourists and artists in a residence located in one of the most beautiful
villages in Italy: Roseto Valfortore. Nestled in the Monti Dauni, immersed in the unspoiled
nature of the Vetruscelli forest and surrounded by a timeless atmosphere, this small town
of about 900 inhabitants is the perfect place for research and artistic production. And
that’s why, starting in May 2025, Asteria Guest&Artist House will host, every month, artists
from all over Italy and from all over the world who will respond to this call for artistic
residency projects. The call is open to all forms of art that is addressed to dancers, actors,
dance and theatre companies, musicians and bands, songwriters, visual artists (painting,
sculpture, installation, illustration, photography, video art) and designers. Each of them
will be asked to submit a project that can be developed during the residency period
and that has a connection with the territory, although it leaves the artist free to express
his or her creativity.
