About the Exhibition: Hey Bay Area artists aged 18-24! We want to see your work exploring the idea of identity, home, and the future. “Where are you from?” and “Where are you going?” are big questions, and we’re looking for art that reflects on your background, your culture, and where you’re headed next. It could be about migration, personal growth, or anything that connects your past and your future.

ACCI is excited to welcome and cultivate emerging artists. Artists who are accepted will benefit from a 1-on-1 mentorship opportunity, gallery experience and exposure, gallery advertising, and an Artist Reception. Accepted artists are expected to be present at the Artist Reception on Saturday, September 6, 4-6pm.

Eligibility:

Artists aged 18-24 and living in the Bay Area (at the time of applying)
?Any kind of visual art (painting, drawing, sculpture, digital work, photography, video, etc.). 2D work must be framed and ready to hang, limited to 36x36, 3D work limited to 36x36x36. Videos must be 10 minutes maximum–please be aware that the gallery cannot offer audio projection.
Work should relate to the theme: “Transitions: Where Are You From? Where Are You Going?”

?Submission Guidelines:

Artists may submit up to three pieces of original artwork for consideration.
Exact medium and dimensions MUST be provided for each piece.
All pieces in the exhibition MUST be for sale. The artist will receive 50% of the sales price and the ACCI Gallery will take a 50% commission. An ACCI consignment agreement will be required for all exhibiting artists.
Work must be delivered ready to hang/install.
Work must have been made within the last two years.
Submissions MUST be accompanied by a brief artist statement (150 words MAX) explaining how your work connects to the theme, to be published in tandem with your work.
Artists should include a short bio (100-150 words) highlighting their background, artistic journey, and any relevant experiences or achievements.?

Admission to view the exhibition: free and open to the public

Deliver Artwork: Sunday, August 24 - Monday August 25
Exhibition dates: Saturday August 30 - Sunday October 5, 2025
Artist Reception: Saturday, September 6, 4-6pm
Pick Up Artwork: Monday, October 6
